I spent an afternoon watching the Purple Gallinules at Shark Valley in the Everglades. They kept pulling on old water lilly flowers, obviously a favorite meal. Eventually one would come away and the gallinule would run for cover as fast as it could to devour it in peace! Click on the image to see it Large on Black.
