Found this thing in the attic: a steel coffee can adorned with scenes of the U.S. space program leading up to (but not including) the Apollo 11 Moon landing of July 1969. The only hint to its origin is the cryptic message “© 1969, Coca-Cola Company Foods Division.” I remember 1969 from the perspective of an elementary school student, for whom the coolest things in the universe were: Schwinn Stingray bicycles, Duncan Yoyos, “Aquarius,” by the Fifth Dimension and the NASA Space Program. So what happened to the Mars colonies?
