In terms of photography this is a hard subject to capture because of the obvious shape, and on this day a balnk sky. The cross has quite a lot of detail and it was hard to get in close to take that to good effect. These two pics are my best efforts, but may think again as to the best ways to show this.In 1290 Eleanor of Castile, the beloved wife of Edward I and mother of his 14 children, died at Harby in Nottinghamshire. The places where her body rested on the journey south to its tomb in Westminster Abbey were marked by stone crosses.
