The enormous Great West Window of Winchester Cathedral dominates the interior of the Cathedral. However, as you can tell, it does not look right. This is because in 1642, Oliver Cromwell and his men smashed the window and the townspeople were left to find what ever glass they could and put it back. Despite this, it is still beautiful and is only bettered in size by the East Windows at York and Gloucester Cathedrals.
