Yesterday I drove down to Bernardo to check out the birds. I rented a Tamron 150-600 for the trip. It's definitely not a high-end tele, but better than my 24-120 for this kind of thing. Whenever an airplane would fly over, the snow geese would take to the air en masse and circle around for a minute. The sandhill cranes were unperturbed. We're going down to Bosque del Apache with the grandkids this weekend, so expect more of this kind of stuff.
