The last year has simply been incredible! I managed to catch some really great shots and I got to know many awesome photographers. Thanks to every single one of you especially for dropping by from time to time to take a look at my timeline. Everyone\'s time is precious and it\'s far from natural that you take the time. I really appreciate that! A big THX also to all the talents out there doing photography with their heart and soul. You are such a big inspiration. This is priceless! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYBODY :) This was the important part =) Now comes my view back on 2015: When it comes to photography everything started for me one year ago. I only bought a new camera because I was fed up with getting home from holidays with mediocre photos that don\'t have any soul. My first backpacking trip through Myanmar was the perfect time to finally master the art of photography. It worked out. I shot couple of good ones. But I was feeling that there must be more to it. The next weeks I was mainly looking at awesome pictures trying to figure out what to do. Then one day I came across Thomas Leuthard and his street photography. I was simply blown away and I knew: I wanna do this! It was also clear to me: Dive into this thoroughly or leave it. This was not about becoming the best. For me it was always about expressing myself. However, life already taught me that it takes some serious practice first before being able to do so. In May I was doing a 30 project "forcing" me everyday to work on my photography skills - in theory and reality. It was quite some fun. So I decided to upload a photo each day straight after that. No one-year-project, no I-will-do-this-up-to-any-point, just do it and see what\'s ahead. But there has been a point in time around September time frame I was no longer sure how to evolve and motivate myself. I had a clear lack of inspiration. Luckily I stumbled across Free Street Photography Book on mariusvieth.com. Through him I learned how to find passion. Thanks to him I started to take off. Of course I am not world class (yet ;) but come on: I took shots I just dreamed of one year ago! And here I am. Presenting a photo that is already one year old (although I pimped it a bit :). The funny thing is that I always wanted to do street without knowing it myself. That\'s why most of my photos from the past pissed me off. Because the human element was always missing. During my trip through Myanmar I started to take photos of the residents. I was thinking: The heart of the country is in its people. So I aleady got the point of street photography although I didn\'t even know about it :)
