This big church, situated just off Richmond Hill and next to the Town Hall, was designed by John Loughborough Pearson who was architect of many Victorian Revival Gothic churches and is best known for his work at Truro Cathedral. Im my opinion, this is one of his best and the inside is a Cathedral in miniature! The church was featured in Simon Jenkins 1000 Best Churches. The interior is glorious but unfortunatly, they had most of the lights off so this is the best shot I could get. It is a shame because there are lovely Rose Windows in the church. The church is not catholic but is Anglican High Church.
