High Swinside nestles on the side of the Vale of Lorton in the Lake District, near Cockermouth. The Old Brewhouse, on the right, was the original site of the Jennings Brewery, sited here because of the spring further up the hill that still provides fresh water to the farm today. In the foreground you can see one of the wood-burning hot tubs (there's another out of picture to the right), which enjoy the wonderful views shown in the rest of this series.
