Like its larger sister, St Mary Redcliffe, Bristol Cathedral is also a feat of Architecture but not in the same way. It is a hall church, the nave and its aisles are all the same height meaning that there is no clestory and the windows are very large in order to let light into the Cathedral. The West End was designed by John Loughborough Pearson, and the 2 front towers were due to have spires on them which would have been a resemblence to Truro Cathedral. The North West Tower has a beautiful old-style 8 with a tenor of just over 21cwt (1.05 tonnes) in the key of Eb.
