The first time I entered the subway in Beijing I immediately loved this handheld thingies which are perfectly aligned and could easily be used as frame / tunnel. Unfortunately I have to admit that shooting on the subway is rather a tough one. I yesterday saw a sign saying it's forbidden, too. But that I don't care about. It's more like people recognize that you are observing your environment because you want to shoot them. Maybe it's a natural thing because you stay over a longer period of time together with the same people and you steadily hold your camera and keep observing. This is a whole different story out on the street because there is this dynamic element to it most of the time. Even when you keep on standing in the same spot, most people keep on moving. Maybe I haven't just obtained the right Ninja skills yet. But it's definitely next level shooting on the subway when it comes to your comfort zone. Especially when you stand out easily as European among Asian people. One photo every day. One inspiration every day. www.facebook.com/alexmuellerphoto
