Giant old-growth white pine, Clinton County–Potter County line, within the Forrest H. Dutlinger Natural Area of Susquehannock State Forest. This tree is the only old-growth white pine I found still standing in the tract. (Another tree, recently toppled, is nearby.) Highly prized for timber, most of the white pines were logged from the tract early in the last century. Their long-lasting stumps are scattered among the hemlocks.
