(@btusdin) #ds308 Far from a tailsmen, my insulin pump is more than always in my pocket, it is connected to my body via a thin, lifesaving tube. It continuously pumps a basal amount of insulin, and when I eat or need to bring down my sugar, I just give it a little pulse. My blood test meter sends my results to it wirelessly, and I can use another USB thingiei to wirelessly update my data to a web site that manages my records (grumbl,e it ONLY works on a PC in Internet Explorer, but that's another story). I don't go anywhere without it, today I am at an airport... and on January 17, 2011, I will be wearing it as I run a half marathon in Phoenix (see dommy.com/ihaterunning)
