I'm feeling alone in feeling rather unmoved by the Cameronafesta of Avatar. I saw it in 3D, and yes, the technique and visuals were over the top. But I was so left wanting at the cardboard characters, the plots recycled, lifted directly from other movies, the utter predictability of the entire ride. And people just through exclamation loaded messages at me. But that is Cameron! It's all about the forests! I enjoyed the experience in the theater, but left as fulfiled as after munching a bowl of Calvin's nutritional cereal. And the gushing praise I keep seeing has me wonder what the heck is wrong with me.
