Naadam in Mongolia - 25 - Archery A Naadam is a traditional festival in Mongolia centering around three competitions: Wrestiling, horse racing, and archery. This is a the first image of a series about archery. The Nadaam took place on July, 31st. It was the day before the total solar eclipse of 2008 which was our reason to visit that place in the outermost southwest of Mongolia, behind the Altai mountains and close to the border with China - a place otherwise rarely visited by tourists.
