The Gerbrandy Tower is a radio mast in the Dutch IJsselstein for FM radio and television broadcasts. The tower was inaugurated on 17 January 1961 and on 9 May 1961 opened by Queen Juliana. With 372 metres is the Gerbrandy Tower the tallest structure in Netherlands. The designation ' biggest Christmas tree in the world ' owes the mast to an entry in the Guinness Book of Records De Gerbrandytoren, ook wel Zendmast Lopik genoemd, is een zendmast in het Nederlandse IJsselstein voor FM-radio- en televisie-uitzendingen. De toren werd op 17 januari 1961 in gebruik genomen en op 9 mei 1961 geopend door koningin Juliana. Met 372 meter is de Gerbrandytoren de hoogste constructie in Nederland. Het predicaat 'grootste kerstboom ter wereld' dankt de mast aan een vermelding in het Guinness Book of Records.
