PEAR Park, Palatlakaha, Florida, large specimen of the only venomous (not-pit viper) snake in the Sunshine State - the Coral Snake (Micrurus fulvius), origin of the "Take Care Rhyme: that follows some version of these words "Red Touches Yellow, Kill a Fellow" (meaning if in the species coloration the colors red and yellow as "next" or adjacent to one another, it is indeed a Coral Snake and should be avoided at all costs .. as I understand it, only two drops of the venom is fatal, and running at over $1,000 a vile, few health care providers would likely have it in stock - at least not within the mandatory 20 minutes after the bite. Long story short, if you see this color combination on a snake, Run!
