I saw a few of these endemic gulls on the Galapagos Islands - it's only when I returned home that I found out they are the world's rarest gulls. IUCN Redlist labels them Vulnerable. Estimates of population have varied significantly over the years but the latest estimate in 2012 was 243 individuals! More images in the first comment!
