Sunset over the lands of Assynt in the far North West Highlands of Scotland from Caisteal Liath (the Grey Castle) on the mountain Suilven (Sula Bheinn). The mountains are primarily red sandstone formed 1.2 billion years ago and Lewisien Gneiss, when the low sun strikes them they turn bright red and white, a truly spectacular sight. The legends tell that the 'Old Gods' forged the Highlands of Scotland in fire and ice at the dawn of time: at sunrise and sunset you can still see their masterworks written on the landscape.
